Congrats to the newlyweds!! I wish you a life of happiness and walls full of photographs! This lovely military couple reached out to me a few weeks before their beautiful elopement day. In essence, I designed and photographed an intimate elopement between Laken and Josh on Fort Bragg with 10 of their closest friends and family members! Also, if you haven't got the memo, Fort Bragg has recently been renamed to Fort Liberty! Finding an elopement location close to Fort Bragg

They did not want to go to the courthouse, which I don't blame them! However if you are looking for a modern-day courthouse elopement in Fayetteville NC, check out this blog post for helpful tips to get married at the Cumberland Detention Center!

After we set the date we rolled up our sleeves and started my favorite part... designing their day! This includes helping them choose a location and all things involved: obtaining ceremony, photography, or parking permits, figuring out logistics such as max capacity, costs, bathrooms, etc!! You wouldn't think there is so much that goes into finding a location for only 10 people.. or even a 2-person elopement, but yes there is! That is why it is always a good idea to hire a photographer who is experienced in elopements and location scouting!

When we were talking about locations, I knew I had to bring up Lake McArthur on Fort Bragg as it was one of my favorite spots in the area. I found Lake MacArther while exploring the area on my way to Southern Pines. I immediately decided I wanted to do an elopement here one day! They also shared their love for this pine tree lakeside location.

Elopement Flowers

Throughout the design process, Laken shared some inspirational photos of what she wanted her flowers, bouquet, and arch to look like. We helped this couple bring their elopement vision to life with pops of spring colors with a fresh floral bouquet and a rainbow of florals on the arch. The arch was also completed with blush pink drapery.

Everything came together swimmingly! We couldn't have asked for a better elopement wedding day!

Vendors involved: Karen Smith was a great choice for the officiant as she was local to the area and well-versed in Weddings. Laken got her hair and makeup done by Sunshine Beauty and Bliss. This is a studio in downtown Fayetteville that has multiple artist in one location including wedding hair and makeup artist. Hair By Jules was the artist behind this romantic updo.
