Many couples choose weekday civil ceremonies for small groups. Book in advance-no walk-ins. For intimate civil ceremonies (under 6 guests), contact the San Francisco County Clerk’s office.

California Marriage License Information
Get in any CA county. Valid 90 days. Both must appear with photo ID. No waiting period. Public license needs 1 witness; confidential none (if cohabiting). Fee ~$127. City Hall Events does not handle licenses or provide officiants.
