Eloping at Devil’s Lake is perfect for couples seeking an intimate, nature-filled experience. I recommend keeping your group small—2 to 4 people (if you need witnesses) or up to 10 guests for a more manageable and stress-free event. Larger groups can be difficult to coordinate on the trails, but we can find creative solutions if you want more friends and family involved in other parts of your celebration.

Officiant Services for your Devils Lake Wedding
I am ordained in Wisconsin!
One unique thing about my elopement packages is that I am ordained in Wisconsin and can sign your marriage license! This allow you to opt out of hiring an officiant. Keep in mind, I do not perform ceremonies or speak during the vows, only sign the license.

Wisconsin Marriage License Information
(Updated April 2025) Applying for a marriage license in Wisconsin is beyond simple! You can apply in any county in the state, regardless of where you plan to marry or live. Here are the key details:
You have 60 days to use the issued marriage license.
There is a 4-day waiting period before you can use the license.
You must have two witnesses present at your ceremony.
Park Fees & Permits
Park Entrance Fees: Cost is per vehicle not per person. All vehicles entering the park must have an admission sticker. Approximately $13 per vehicle.
Photographers: All photoshoots, elopements, and engagement sessions on Devil's Lake are required to have a "commercial use of state properties" permit, which costs $50 and must be submitted at least two weeks before the wedding.

I will help you plan your ceremony location, whether you envision a cliffside vow exchange or a peaceful lakeside setting. Devil’s Lake offers several beautiful locations for your ceremony, including:
Lakefront – A peaceful spot by the water with a gorgeous backdrop.
East Bluffs – Panoramic views of the park and lake.
Balanced Rock & Devil’s Doorway – Iconic rock formations that make for a dramatic ceremony setting.

Wedding Venue at Devil's Lake: The Gathering Place at Red Oak
A brand-new venue within the park, The Gathering Place at Red Oak is now available for celebrations! Located on the South Shore of Devil’s Lake, this venue includes:
Seating for up to 100 guests
A wood-burning fireplace
Heating and air conditioning
Kitchen space with an under-mount refrigerator, sink, and 21-foot counter
Stunning scenic views of the lake

Photography Packages
3-Hour Minimum Package
Since it can take about an hour to hike up the mountain—with multiple stops for photos—a minimum of 3 hours is required. I highly recommend 4+ hours for a more relaxed, stress-free experience.
Full-Day Elopement Package

Getting ready photos at your Airbnb or cabin
Hiking to your ceremony location at Devil’s Lake
A micro-reception back at your Airbnb or a picnic in the park
Celebrate with a larger group by renting one of the park’s multiple pavilions, including the brand-new Gathering Place.
